Floating Forest is a large contemporary wall hanging with uniquely different, extreme hand-spun art yarns. These yarns fashioned with traditional and novel approaches in technique and materials, contain recycled wool clothing, raw fleece and commercial fibers. The background is Eco-dyed silk mounted on canvas and embroidered with beads, sequins and thread. New and antique fishing lures embellish this fantasy floating landscape. The hanging fabric is 57 inches wide, 41 inches wide, and 6 inches deep. It can hang on a rod through the top pocket or velcro can be added for mounting.
